Since the dawn of time, man has scribbled on walls in an attempt to represent the pictures in his head gained from the world around him. Slowly, his talent has evolved from mere cave drawings to full blown masterpieces. In many cultures of the past, art and decoration were a thing that were necessary - especially for important things like religious ceremonies. One people that come to mind are the Aztecs.
Aztec art has been around for thousands of years, and the Aztec people were a very large and intricate society. Aztec art can be characterized by a few things - really intricate, interwoven subjects, animals such as snakes and a particular style that is very "totem pole" like and boxy. It is very neat, and many of the pyramids of the Aztecs are still around today with their carvings in great shape.
Aztec art, for many people, serves as a great decoration. There is a Fry's Electronics, for example, in my neighborhood that is built like an Aztec pyramid - it has the famous sun calendar and snakes and everything.
